You know that Fendi bag? That Peekaboo ISeeU Small one? Lordy, my granddaughter, she keeps going on and on about it. Says it’s the best thing since sliced bread. She wants one real bad, and keeps asking me to buy one. I said girl, you better save that money.
That bag, it’s everywhere these days. Every time I turn around, I see some young gal with it on her arm. They call it “iconic.” I don’t know about all that, but it sure is popular. Seems like it came out back in 2009, a long time ago! They say it is like a game, peekaboo, that the kids play. I remember playing that game when I was a little girl! So funny.
They got all kinds of sales, these stores. Coats, dresses, shoes, all that stuff on sale. This Fendi thing, though, it ain’t cheap. My granddaughter, she showed me the price tag. I nearly fainted! It’s more than what I made in a month working at the factory! They call it a “luxury” item. Luxury, my foot!

I looked it up, that Fendi Peekaboo ISeeU Small. They call it “small gifts”. My granddaughter, she don’t think it’s small. She wants to get it. I told her, those Fendi ISeeU are expensive. Maybe they are on sale. She says no, she wants the real one. The authentic one. Well, she has to work hard to get it. I told her, I can’t afford it.

This Fendi, it’s a big company. Italian, they say. Makes all kinds of fancy stuff. Fur, leather, shoes, you name it. They been around since 1925, that’s a long time! Longer than I’ve been alive! This bag, the Fendi Peekaboo, they started making it back in 2008. My granddaughter wasn’t even born then!
They say it’s a specialty store item, this bag. Means you can’t just get it anywhere. You gotta go to one of those fancy stores, the ones with the doormen and the chandeliers. I ain’t never been in one of those stores. Don’t think I’d fit in. But my granddaughter, she’s been saving up her money. She says she’s gonna buy it herself. That’s a good girl, she work hard.
I told her, “Honey, you sure you want to spend all that money on a bag?” She says, “Yes, Grandma, it’s an investment.” An investment! I don’t know about that. Seems like a lot of money to me. But she’s got her heart set on it, that Fendi ISeeU Small. That is what she wants. That Fendi Daning Peekaboo. I don’t know what Daning is, but that is the bag that she wants.
They say you can get it online, too. But I don’t trust that internet. Too many scams out there. My granddaughter, she says it’s safe. She says she’s gonna buy it from the official Fendi website. I hope she is right.
That Fendi Peekaboo ISeeU Small bag, it is a big deal. I don’t know. If she wants it, she wants it. I guess it is up to her. I remember my first bag. It was not a Fendi. Not expensive at all. But I loved it. Maybe she will love her Fendi bag. It is her money.
