Alright, folks, gather ’round, gather ’round! I’ve got a story to tell ya, a story about watches, fancy ones at that. Now, I ain’t no expert, but I do like to tinker and try my hand at new things. I looked up pictures, read some articles, and watched a few videos online. I saw that getting a brand new one of these is tougher than finding a needle in a haystack. Long waitlists and whatnot. Some folks suggested looking for a used one, but even those cost a pretty penny.
So, after all that research, I started thinking about how to actually do it. Now, I ain’t got the tools or the skills of those fancy watchmakers. But I figured, hey, I can give it a shot, right? I found some basic watch parts online, nothing too fancy, just some regular stuff.

Well, the end result, it ain’t no Patek Philippe, that’s for sure. It looks kinda like it, from far away, maybe. But up close, you can tell it’s just a simple guy’s attempt. It’s not all shiny and perfect like the real one, more like a rough draft, you know? But hey, I made it myself, and that’s something, right?
So, if you’re thinking about trying something like this, just remember, it takes time, patience, and a whole lot of trial and error. And don’t expect to make a masterpiece on your first try. But it’s a fun little project, and you learn a thing or two along the way. Who knows, maybe one day I’ll get good enough to make something that actually looks like the real deal.
