OK, so, I’ve been messing around with watches lately, and I thought I’d share my little project with you all. I decided to try my hand at making a high imitation of the Rolex Submariner Green, you know, the “Hulk.” It’s a classic style, and I just had to see if I could get close to the real deal.
First things first, I did some digging around. You wouldn’t believe how similar some of these “super clones” are to the actual Rolex. I mean, down to the tiny parts inside! Of course, there are differences, but to someone like me, who’s not a watch expert, it’s pretty wild how close they can get.
Now, the real Rolex Submariner “Hulk” is expensive. It’s all about supply and demand, right? There aren’t enough to go around, so the price goes up. And people are willing to pay that price, both for new and used ones.
What did I actually do?
I started by getting my hands on one of these high imitation watches. Let me tell you, it’s not as easy as it sounds. I looked and looked, reading reviews, checking out pictures. Finally, I found one that seemed pretty darn good.
- First step: Finding the watch. Took a while, but I managed to find a decent one.
- Next: Taking it apart. This was a bit nerve-wracking, but I went slow and used the right tools.
- Then: Studying the parts. I compared them to pictures of real Rolex parts online.
- Finally: Putting it back together. This was the real test!
When I got it, I was impressed. It looked really good, felt solid, and even had a nice weight to it. But the real fun was taking it apart. I carefully removed the back, the movement, and even some of the smaller pieces. I’m not a watchmaker, so I was super careful not to mess anything up.
I compared what I saw to pictures and videos of genuine Rolex Submariners online. Some parts were almost identical, while others were a bit off. But overall, it was surprisingly close.
Putting it all back together was the tricky part. I had to make sure everything was lined up perfectly and that all the screws were tight. It took some time, but I eventually got it done.
And you know what? It actually worked! The watch was ticking, and it looked pretty much the same as when I started. I was pretty proud of myself, to be honest. I’m not saying it’s as good as a real Rolex, but for a high imitation, it’s not bad at all. My imitation is ticking away, and it looks great! It’s not the real deal, but it’s close enough for me.
It just goes to show you what you can do with a little time, effort, and a whole lot of * whole experience has been a blast. It’s not about trying to pass it off as a real Rolex or anything like that. It’s more about the challenge and the learning process. Plus, now I have a cool-looking watch that I can wear without worrying too much about it.
