So, I’ve been seeing a lot of buzz about these high imitation Rolex watches lately, especially the new Green Submariner. I got curious, you know? Like, how good could these fakes really be? I decided to dive in and see for myself.
First off, finding where to get one wasn’t as hard as I thought it’d be. There are stores, pretty legit-looking ones, that specialize in these high imitation Rolexes. I decided to visit one.
Walking in, I felt like I was in a real, fancy watch store. They had all kinds of models, but I was there for the Green Submariner. They brought one out for me, and honestly? It looked pretty darn good at first glance.
I’m no expert, but I’ve seen a real Submariner before. This thing was heavy. I learned online that a real one is around 40 millimeters, or about 1.57 inches, across the case, and this imitation felt about that size.
Now, they say these imitations aren’t made with the same super high-end materials as the real deal. But from what I could tell, the materials seemed solid enough. It certainly felt substantial in my hand. I mean, if you’re not looking too close, or you’re not some kind of watch expert, you’d probably be fooled.
Checking the Details
- Weight: It felt substantial, just like the real thing.
- Size: Seemed to match the dimensions of a genuine Submariner.
- Materials: Not the same as a real Rolex, obviously, but still pretty good quality.
I spent a good amount of time checking it out, turning it over in my hands, looking at the details. Honestly, for the price, I was impressed. It’s not a real Rolex, no doubt about that. But as far as imitations go, it’s definitely up there.
I ended up buying one. Not to try and pass it off as real or anything, but just to see how it holds up over time. I figure, if it can fool most people, and it’s way cheaper than the real thing, it might be a decent watch to wear.
