Alright, let’s talk about this little project I did – remaking the Yves Saint Laurent YSL LE CARRé SATCHEL BAG. Yeah, I know, it sounds super fancy, right? But trust me, it’s a fun one. So, I’ve always liked those classy-looking bags, you know, the kind that never goes out of style. That’s how I got into this YSL bag thing.

I started by looking at a ton of pictures of the real YSL LE CARRé SATCHEL BAG. It’s got this simple, boxy shape with a flap and rounded corners – pretty neat. Most of these YSL bags have this big, flashy logo, but this one’s more low-key, which I dig.

First, I made a pattern. I just sketched out the shape on some paper, making sure it looked like the original bag. Then I picked out some leather. I wanted something that felt nice but wouldn’t cost a fortune. After that, it was time to cut. I carefully cut the leather using my pattern. This part took a while because I didn’t want to mess up. I wanted the shape to be the same as the original.

  • Sketching the pattern
  • Choosing the leather
  • Cutting the leather pieces

Next, I started sewing. Now, I’m no pro at sewing, but I managed to stitch the pieces together. It was a bit tricky, especially around the corners. But I took my time, and it started to look like a bag! I even added a little pocket inside, just like the real one.

Putting It All Together

The final step was putting on the hardware – the clasp and the strap. This was the fun part because it really made the bag look complete. I found some similar-looking hardware online, and attached them to the bag. And there it was, my very own YSL LE CARRé SATCHEL BAG look-alike! It might be the same as the original one, but I am very happy with it.

Making this bag was a blast. It was a lot of work, but totally worth it. Plus, I learned a bunch about bag making. I have learned that YSL handbags usually hold their value, and I think my bag also can hold the value. Maybe I’ll try another design next time. Who knows, maybe I’ll even get good enough to make my own designs someday. Anyway, that’s my story about making the YSL bag. Hope you enjoyed it!
