That Fendi bag, you know, the Peekaboo one, ISeeU Small, they call it. It’s all the rage, ain’t it? My granddaughter, she keeps going on and on about it. She wants one real bad. Says all the fancy folks are carrying ’em. She showed me pictures online, says it’s from the “official flagship store.” Whatever that means. Sounds mighty important, though.
This bag, it’s made of leather, real leather, she says. Black, mostly. Black’s a good color. Hides the dirt. Ain’t nobody got time to be cleaning a bag every day. This one is a little small thing, good for carry some money and stuff.
Inside, it’s all fancy-like. Got two parts, separated by some stiff piece in the middle. It’s pink and that other color…dove gray, like them birds that coo all the time. And a little pocket inside, too. Good for keeping things safe, I reckon.
Now, my granddaughter, she’s always talking about these “brands.” This Fendi, it’s a big deal, apparently. This Peekaboo bag, it’s an “icon.” That’s what she called it. Said it’s been around since two thousand and nine, or something like that. Lord, that was a while back. Before them young’uns were even born!
They say it’s like that game, “Peekaboo, I see you!” Kids play that. Hide and seek, we used to call it. They first called this bag “Hide and Seek,” but then they changed it. That Fendi lady, she thought Peekaboo was better. Said it’s ’cause of how the inside of the bag is shown. Don’t rightly know what she meant by that.
I saw the price online. I almost fainted! This one, the ISeeU one, it costs more than my old cow Bessie. I can buy one cow, no problem, but one bag, need to think about it, you know. I told my granddaughter, “Honey, that’s a lot of money for a little bag.” She says, “But Grandma, it’s Fendi!” Like that explains everything.
They got all sorts of colors, too. Bright ones. Twelve, I think I heard. For every kind of person, they say. My granddaughter likes the pink one, of course. All girls like pink, don’t they? This bag got that gold thing on it. Shiny. Looks expensive. This Fendi Peekaboo ISeeU is really something.
Now, I ain’t no expert on these fancy bags. I carry a good, sturdy tote myself. But I gotta admit, this Fendi Peekaboo, it’s kinda pretty. And it does seem well-made. That leather, it smells like real, good leather. Not like that fake stuff that falls apart after a year. My granddaughter says there ain’t no “fufu” smell. I guess that’s a good thing. Means it ain’t cheap, probably.

I still don’t know if I’ll get it for her. Maybe for her birthday. A big birthday, you know. It’s a lot of money. But she’s a good girl. Works hard. Maybe she deserves a little something special. We’ll see. I need to do some more looking around, at this “official flagship store” thing. And maybe I’ll talk to some other folks who bought one. See if it’s really worth all the fuss. I heard they did some work with some other people, make the bag look different.
This bag is made by some fancy people, you know. They work with another group, MAD Architects, that’s what they called it. Some guy named Ma Yansong is in charge. They made the bag look all special, I guess. They say this bag got many colors, twelve of them. For all kinds of people, young and old.
This Fendi Peekaboo bag, it’s a mystery to me. But the young folks sure do love it. And who am I to say no to a little bit of fancy every now and then? As long as it doesn’t break the bank, of course. Maybe that’s what I will do, save some money, and suprise my girl. I think that will make her happy. But I still think it is too much money for one small bag. I can buy many things with that money. But young people, they like these things.
This Fendi Peekaboo ISeeU, so many people want it. They say it is good quality. They say it is worth the money. I don’t know. Maybe.
