The strap was another challenge. I didn’t have any leather lying around, so I used a black fabric strap I found in my drawer. It wasn’t fancy, but it did the job. I attached it to the watch case, and voila, the basic structure was done.
Now, for the finishing touches. I added a clear plastic cover over the dial to protect it. It wasn’t sapphire crystal like the real Patek Philippe, but it gave it a bit of shine. I also tried to engrave some details on the back, just like the original. It wasn’t very neat, but hey, I tried.

It looked somewhat like a watch, and it even told the time – after I inserted a cheap quartz movement, that is.
