This here Yves Saint Laurent YSL COLLEGE BAG, they call it. Fancy name, ain’t it? Reminds me of them college kids, all smart and whatnot. But this bag, it’s somethin’ else. I seen it ’round, folks talkin’ ’bout it. Sayin’ how much it costs and all. Lord have mercy, the price of things these days!
They say it’s a “quote,” like they’re guessin’ the price or somethin’. Well, I ain’t no expert, but I’ve seen enough to know a good bag when I see one. And this one, it’s got that look, you know? That “I’m special” look. Like them fancy ladies in the magazines, carryin’ their purses like they’re made of gold.
I heard some folks sayin’ they buy these bags used. “Pre-owned,” they call it. Like it’s a used car or somethin’. Back in my day, we just used things ’til they fell apart. But I guess times are changin’.

Early 2021, they sayin’, this mini one, they don’t make no more. And it was goin’ for ’round $900! Can you believe that? Nine hundred dollars for a tiny little purse! My whole grocery bill ain’t even that much in a month!
And then they got these other ones, bigger ones. They say folks are lookin’ for ’em, these “pre-loved” ones. Must be somethin’ special ’bout ’em if people are willin’ to pay that much for a used bag. This one lady, I heard her say, she bought one for some big number, start with 2, like 2 thousand or somethin’. I near fainted when I heard that!
They got these fancy stores, too. Neiman Marcus, that’s one of ’em. They say you can find these bags there. And they call ’em “luxury fashions.” Well, ain’t that somethin’? Luxury. Back in my day, luxury was havin’ a full pantry and a roof over your head.
Another one, Brown Thomas. Sounds like a fella’s name to me. But they say it’s a store, too. And you can buy these Saint Laurent bags there. They even do that “virtual shoppin’.” You don’t even gotta leave your house! Just sit there and look at pictures on that computer screen. What will they think of next?
This one fella, he sells these bags, too. Poshmark, he calls it. Says you can save a lot of money buyin’ ’em there. Up to 70% off! Seventy percent! That’s a lot of percents. Maybe it’s worth lookin’ into. Still, it is a lot of money for some bag that had been used.
And then they got this other thing, “quilted leather tote.” Sounds like somethin’ you’d put your quilt in, but I guess it’s another kind of bag. This Saint Laurent fella, he sure makes a lot of different bags, don’t he?
Yves Saint Laurent handbags, they got a whole bunch of ’em, I reckon. All different shapes and sizes. And expensive. Oh, so expensive! If you want to get this YSL College Bag, better start saving your pennies, and maybe sell a few chickens, too.
This Yves Saint Laurent Medium College Bag, saw someone sayin’ it was in “mint condition.” Like a piece of candy or somethin’. Mint condition. People sure do talk funny these days. But they were sellin’ it, that much I understood. Everyone’s sellin’ somethin’ these days, aren’t they?.
Well, I guess that’s all I know ’bout this YSL COLLEGE BAG quote business. It’s a lot to take in, all these fancy names and prices. But one thing’s for sure, that bag, it sure is somethin’ to talk about. And if you got the money, well, maybe it’s somethin’ to buy, too. But me? I think I’ll stick to my old faithful purse. It may not be fancy, but it holds my money just fine.
